Treasure Map Adventure

A simple treasure hunt race for kids who love maps. Roll, move, and follow the map icons to reach the hidden treasure first.

Suggested ages

Ages 3-8

Setup

  • Print the treasure map board and tokens (2 pages total).
  • Cut out one token per player.
  • Grab a die or number cards (1-4).

How to play

  1. Everyone starts on the Start square.
  2. Roll the die and move forward that many spaces.
  3. Land on a map icon? Follow the treasure rule.
  4. First explorer to Finish wins.

Treasure rules

  • Compass: move ahead 1 space.
  • Wave: slide back 1 space.
  • Footprints: take another roll.
  • Treasure chest: skip your next turn while you celebrate.

Quick variations

  • Easy mode: use a 1-3 spinner instead of a die.
  • Co-op mode: everyone tries to reach the treasure together in 15 turns.
